EU calls on Israel to end military operation in Rafah 'immediately,' warns refusal would put 'heavy strain on EU's relationship with Israel'

In a press release on Wednesday, the European Union's High Representatives urged Israel to end its military operation in Rafah 'immediately.'

The statement said that the EU is calling for "Israel to refrain from further exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and reopen the crossing point of Rafah. Should Israel continue its military operation in Rafah, it would inevitably put a heavy strain on the EU's relationship with Israel."
